Project Qurbani
This project comes to help and make happy poor, needy and needy families, orphans and other marginalized groups during the blessed Eid al-Adha, where sacrificial meat is distributed to needy families to beneficiary families. Due to this, the Ignite Global Foundation started the campaign in 2022 to inspire more individuals to donate to the Qurbani without any fear. Some families are unable to even afford to purchase a piece of meat, much less celebrate Eid. A family will get food and be able to celebrate Eid with us by making a Qurbani contribution. This deed fosters close links among Muslims all throughout the world and displays selflessness and charity.
Objectives
- To provide vital protein supplements to households in need.
- Bringing joy and happiness to poor and needy families during the blessed Eid Al-Adha.
- Encouraging the application of one of the rituals of Islam, and drawing a smile on the lips of the poor and needy in the season of goodness.
- Notifying people that they have brothers who stand by them and strengthen them in times of distress.
Impact
In 2022 whenever Sylhet was experiencing devastating flood, IGF arranged Qurbani and distributed meat to the flood affected community. The ‘Qurbani’ project meets the needs almost2000 people from both disaster affected region and marginalized community.
